Getting the cutlery ready before Christmas season

Either you have a stainless steel cutlery, a nickel silver or a pure silver one, you sure want to have it clean and bright for this special season.
In order to have it ready for Christmas Eve, you would have to plan its cleaning with enough anticipation.
If you have a stainless steel cutlery, you sure have noticed that sometimes the dishwasher does not clean it properly, in order to do so you may clean it with a mixture of lemon and salt. You may alternatively scrub the stains with an onion cut by the half and spread with sugar. The cutlery must be properly dried before being stored to avoid rust stains. Sometimes this kind of cutlery seems to have water marks after cleaning, these water marks may be removed by scrubbing with alcohol. Another tip which works for this kind of cutlery is to clean it by scrubbing it with toothpaste.
If you have a nickel silver cutlery and you want it to shine bright, you may leave it sunken in cold milk for an hour. After that, you just have to rinse it with water and dry it properly.
Finally, if you have a pure silver cutlery, the best way to clean it is to scrub it with a mixture of cigarette ashes and lemon juice, or alternatively, you can also scrub it with toothpaste, and after rinse it with water. In order to keep the silver clean for a long time, you should introduce a mothball in the place where you are to store the cutlery. Finally, keep in mind that you shouldn't use rubber gloves when cleaning silver, as the rubber tends to leave dark stains in the silver pieces.
