Start with the bathroom and toilet: if you
have windows in the bathrooms open them. We assume you are giving a pass to the
sinks, tub or shower and toilets each day so simply sanitize them with cloth
soaked in bleach and water. If there are remains of soap in the toilets then
pass first a cloth dampened with a specific product for bathrooms, rinse and
then sanitize, leaving a few minutes acting with bleach and water. I advise not
to mix the cleaner with bleach to save steps, because apart you subtract
bactericidal power to bleach the mixture can be very toxic.
Put to soak the soap dish to go peeling soap
residue, if you have glasses for toothbrushes sanitize them wash them well.
If you have a screen shower spray it with any
glass cleaner and if the are limemarks put some decalcifying product. If you
have a curtain rinse it with the handle of the shower and spread it to dry well
avoiding mold growth.
Rinse the bleach from sinks, toilets, tub or
shower, it is often useful to take a cleaning pill in the tank toilets to
soften tartar deposits that may exist.
Give one pass the tiles around the toilet, they
always have the occasional splash and if you have a closet or shelf give it a
pass with a damp cloth.
Now clean the mirror with glass cleaner, rinse
and dry the toothbrushes glass and soap dish. Clean and sanitize countertops. Now empty the tank to change the water.
Once done turn dry, ideally are lint-free cloths
or may be old cotton shirts. This is important because ultimately helps keep
restrooms free of limescale.
* A tip: once dry sinks, toilets, tub or shower
and screen shower I advise you spray some cleaner wood furniture product
containing silicones or waxes, rub thoroughly until dry. You will see the
porcelains are bright, and most importantly, be kept clean for several days. It
is important, as I mentioned you to dry them daily to prevent soap and fat
layer formation that usually sticks on sinks and tubs, above.
Now sweep and mop the floor and let the window
open until everything is dry.
As always some water are splashed on the floor I
advise you to sweep and scrub the floor to eliminate footprints.
Finally, another weekly task would be to
change the sheets on all beds and wash them, along with pyjamas or other
nightwear. Personally I like to change them on Friday, because as in the weekend we take
the opportunity to sleep more time is comforting lie between some sheets that
smell clean and fresh.
In this way you have the housework organized to help you to keep your house in order every week and without much effort.
It's really helpful and down to earth. I love the accent, makes it sound endearing.
